we walked, and we talked
my mind was on you, and me
and yours was on you.
i talked, and you walked.
i cried. did you hear me?
i've gotten good at looking fine
if you listen, you can hear
i'm not. but you didn't, i know.
keep walking, i'll catch up.
really i will, i promise. but you
wouldn't notice if i didn't. i
can't say i don't care. just
let me fall behind.
it's better this way. i'm tired of being
listened to and not heard.
i'd rather walk alone anyway.
