We Were... Poem by Derry Dose

We Were...

We were dishonest
We were fools
We laughed a lie
we fought our love
We killed our dreams
We kissed our fear
We hugged the worst
Or maybe.....
we were honest as
Truth was found guilty
Lie was released undoubtedly
Happiness was a myth
Evidence of sadness are kissed
Regret is beauty
Letting it go is a pity
Pleasing each other's Unpleased words
Lets say it loud
We were honest
Because we love to lie
Lets say it a hundred times
We were honest at being dishonest

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
when someone makes us believe in them and then they break our trust that time we don't question them but ourselves and our foolishness...
