Woe Poem by Derry Dose

Woe

Just what kind of love do I woe?
When everything lets you go.
Some reckless seamless words I say,
I keep hiding my thoughts to pray.
From nights to nights I keep it still,
Your eyes are my forgotten skill.
We were never meant to be,
Something that everyone could see.
Keep this cursed love in the closet,
Or the world will make us mourn it.
Just what kind of love do I sow?
Weaving threads of broken flow.
We used to have a house of lights,
Now the thoughts and I always fight.
Click-click of the wooden clock,
waiting like a passenger on the dock.
Were you ever in my heart?
I'm sure it's not on your part.
Reading the text of the buried chats,
I keep waiting for some shoulder pats.
My body mourns the emotions you gave,
Wanna hide in a haunted cave.
Death is no longer the thing I fear,
Your passing thoughts bring me a tear.
Just what kind of love did show?
keep it silent or make it glow.
say the word and I'll let you go,
just like you did when I said a NO!
