We Women Poem by victoria martinez

We Women

I’ll bold those words darken them to a tee
They are as dark as they can be
And he continues to ignore me
Loudness is his strength
Volume so thick makes me lose my thought
Silent is my strength
And I use it to get what I want
Tender is my touch
Obvious is his lust
Cold is his heart
So I’ll warm it with my hands
Weak is his posture
Although he calls himself a man
My thoughts go over looked
And my face is beaten with a beauty I call misfortune
My chest curves to his delight
My waste is what his hands search for at night
The poise I create brings him to his knees
He doesn’t understand what love means
He feels that women are bought; such a simple fee
No amount can pay the look I can give
No cash enough to compensate for the loss of my smile
And with my ways I cause a retraction that oh so vile
States that my ignorance is his bliss
See if I saw the world through his eyes;
There would be so much I would miss
My views could refresh you entire existence
Purpose is of no purpose here
I’ll be what you see because that’s all you’ll ever see
This body isn’t for you to touch
You can admire me from a distance
Because, you are a man
I know you will miss my point
I’m here to pleasure my self reflection
I was never made to be under your thumb
I wasn’t made for you to down upon
I was made to MAKE you…
You forget what your mother was
She was a lovely woman
I am here to please me
And with my beauty,
Intelligence,
And manner,
I can do nothing but succeed
