Wedding Day Poem by Sam Reid

Wedding Day

O Heavenly the day
When two lives join now as one
Whether sweeping steeple overcasts
Or a jolly judge presides
There is something simple
Something clean
About this monumental day

A look of joy on a smiling face
That looks up to one so close at heart
Beams this Love
This amazing thing
Right into each ones soul

If you listen closely
But not too hard
You may just hear
Those special bells

Now taste the ever-so sweet icing
It lingers over soft lips
Once touched
Forever remembered

All this day is so filled with joy
Packed tight inside a crystal vault
The key two souls so sweet
This day of days is yours to keep

So go enjoy
But never forget
The people with which this memory
You forever now share
