Weekends Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Weekends

Rating: 5.0

Let's rest this afternoon
It's been hectic morning
With the kids' practices and grocey shopping
Now, they are with their friends
They'll be out for a while
I put some clean sheets and the new duvet
So, nothing is hesitrating our eyes to close
Come, and take my head
Last night, we watched that lousy movie
And was disappointed in the end
We spent talking what we would do
If that situation arrived
We didn't doze off until after midnight
And had to be ready for the children
So, a nap is in order
Because tonight we take the kids to the movies
And they want to see that three-hour Disney film
Playing in the theatre
