i endure,
i endure these flashing lights,
lights that do not lead me anywhere,
these metallic clanks,
which turn my deaf ears silent.
long before my son crouched into my lap,
long before my dawn came;
when the sirens took my song away,
and this star leaped to its high noon,
i fell.
i fell into the sky,
and I painted it in
a tint so blue,
for my son resides here
at your earliest of hours.
then I took the hue of a dying rose
to sing another song,
to lead the hours to their end.
i endured my time to seize what is mine;
now that i want to sleep,
I present you with my sky, my son, my song
and all that hue.
