Well Played Poem by Amy

Well Played

Rating: 2.1

How I’ve missed the painful pleasure
all of it, wasted
on you
the game may be over,
but it was a game worth playing
yes, you may have won this round
and every other for that matter
but I have learned from my mistakes
every single one, you made me regret
I must say, you hold your cards
very close to your chest
just like you held me
close to your heart
or so you said
I never knew whether you were bluffing
or not
was the heart card
all part of an elaborate plan?
When all you had was blackened
hand?
I guess I always did believe
Well played my, Love, Friend
Acquaintance
Truly
well played.
