What About The Rules? Poem by David Lem

What About The Rules?

Your so tempting,
he thinks so too
it's not my fault
but there's nothing you'd ever do

It just brings backs memories of broken promises
I said never again, let's keep it that way

And i just fought too hard,
to see it blow up here
if he shows up again,
i'm getting outa here

Right in the way, in my path of delusion
a broken set of morals
with the tools to make use
a broken set of morals
all readily abused
