I know God has a sense of humor for sure
Have you ever thought about this, my friend?
With ghosts and goblins and bats galore
He didn't create this holiday trend?

I think he would enjoy the happy children
As they picked costumes and giggled too
Their tummies hummed with excitement
Thinking of candy, oh my, wouldn't you?

It makes me smile to even think about
The Halloween in the past that I've seen
He would want the kids to be safe, of course
When God thinks about Halloween.
