What Follows

Rating: 2.5

A heart left behind continues to beat mechanically, only because it has to.

A spirit left behind hides from the world, it is of no use for the empty shell.

A soul left behind wanders lost, looking for what is missing yet knowing it will never be found.

A woman left behind, begs to die, tries to die yet still the sun shines on her face for another day.

One day the heart left behind flutters, races and beats with the strength of a runner.

One day the spirit left behind come out from behind the locked door, one cautious step at a time.

One day the soul left behind begs for a second chance, not for what was taken but for all that was never experienced, tasted, loved or known.

One day the woman left behind takes life, thankful for the gift and promises to hold nothing back, spreads her wings and flies!
