What Have We Become Poem by Mackenzie Scholte

What Have We Become

My friends call my name
But that's not who I am
I am faceless,
Drifting in a crowd
Of these people who have faces
But thier hearts are empty
Their faces are fake
Almost plactic
It's here I drift
Being noticed because I'm different
I tried to conceal the heart on my sleeve
But grew tired
Of drawing on smiling faces
And happy eyes
And that's not who I am
I am faceless
