What I Dream Poem by Michele Weston

What I Dream

I close my eyes,
And his appear,
Cold and evil,
Full of hate,
I long for peaceful rest,

I dream everynight,
He causes nightmares,
Toss and turn,
Sleepless nights,
He haunts me everynight,

I dream the same,
His arms hold me down,
Rough and mean,
He is strong,
I am powerless now,

Finished, he smiles,
Tears now fill my eyes,
Naked and alone,
He leaves me,
Afraid, I tell no one.
