Back then I had this friend
And wrote HE IS LOVELORN
And now that I see the same trend
I realise I AM lovelorn

It all started a year ago
When I had helped to fix a gadget
The storyline is one you know:
Of my love is she the target!

Back then she thought me proud
For out to impress I was loud
And now that she knows me
She knows I'm as cool-headed as could be!

Yeah, I just flattered myself
Were she here she'd disagree
Yet as she never sees me as a human elf
Very good friends we've come to be

But because she wonders if I must date
I've waited this long to be sure
That this confession is rather late;
That in silence can no longer endure

She might stay & she might go
But Crown of Honour must know
That friendship is no longer enough
For what I feel is love!
