What I Miss Poem by Jessica Canerday

What I Miss

I miss the way we’d laugh when there was nothing else to do

The way you said 'I love you babe' and I would say 'I love you to'

The way our bodies mingled as we shared that everlasting kiss

The way you hugged me after our very first to date was bliss

The day we sang together and our voices intertwined

Even though you thought I wasn’t listening, I still heard your voice over mine

You didn’t want to take it to fast since you thought I was so young

To me you went to slow till you started adding some tongue

The days you almost killed me because you’re a really bad driver

You never got me killed, but I guess you never tried either

I tried to forget all these memories, I guess you did to

But the one thing I forgot to forget… was you.
