What If You Could Let Go Of The Story Of You? Poem by Chuy Amante

What If You Could Let Go Of The Story Of You?

You are nobody
You made no mistakes
You have no reputation
You aren't an engineer nor doctor
You are not expected to do, nor be anything

You are a baby
You have a fresh slate
You experience the daily goodness
You are a wonder in silence

You can close and burn the old book
You can be free, move, get off the hook
You be more by being less
You can be the real YOU, fug-da rest
