What No One Sees / The Other Dimension Poem by Alyssa Daniel

What No One Sees / The Other Dimension

My defenses have now gone down.
Lower than the ground.

Even though they are this low,
I try not to let them show.

That I'm scared, broken, and nervous.
Because, if i do, that might cause,

People to see
A different me.

One that rarely comes out,
And one that no one really knows about.

Because, I wanna look so strong,
The one who's headstrong, and never wrong.

But now that I'm broken,
I give you this token.

That grants you permission
To see the raw and unedited version.

Of the otherside,
That has not been touched by that outside.

Or touched by the conformity,
Of this world and it's society.

Don't worry, nothing's wrong.
Least, that's what they say in the song.

But how do they know?
When it's covered by a show?

I'm sick of this act,
All I wanna do is go back.

To where there is no hurt, or pain,
And no personal gain.

Someplace like a new demension,
Where you don't have to ask permission,

To be yourself,
And not like everyone on the shelf.

A place with no judge,
To foce someone to budge.

Just to make them do
Something that they don't want to.

Now that we've seen this side,
Can we put the past aside?

So we can all come,
and good can be done?
