What The Heart Seeks Poem by Oluwatomiwo Akinyemi

What The Heart Seeks

What I want
Is a driven force
That controls sane city
Emptiness drives its devoid

Where it lies is illusory
Lacking shape and form
Neither appearance

I desire you
Every moment
Your presence is sunshine
Its brightness alluring

Your make the world go round
But there is a height of blindness
Towards your importance

All I seek is a revelation
That permeates the mind
Your aura is inescapable
But your presence is infilling

The day I set forth at dawn
Toil day and night
And eventually catch a glimpse
One thing is certain
I will hold on
And never let go
