What They Are: Poem by Natalie Partna

What They Are:

Grass,
Feathers of the earth.

Fire,
A flame of desire.

Water,
Energy of quite power.

Sun,
A ball of sweet fire.

Wind,
Airy strength that blows forever.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I was outside on the grass messing with a blade of grass in my fingers thinking about how rubbery grass feels when you run your fingers through it.
