What To Do With This Poem by Adam Clarke

What To Do With This

here i sit
trying to write
what my heart wants to
while my mind tries to hold the words back;

time and time again
under a cloud of darkness
your smile makes my heart
beat a little more rapidly;

i am being eaten from the inside
as the thoughts of you
slowly crawl inch by inch
taking over my senses completely;

deep within the dark clouds of life
i sit here in a moment of quiet contemplation
trying to make a dream into a reality
while holding on to the ropes of sanity;

as i stand here under
the moonlit skies
i am wondering
what to do with this heart, tell me?
