Life has so many rough places
Each day that we must go through
We can't escape, it is our fate
It happens to me, it happens to you.

So why don't we look very closely
Through the hours of the day
And find special moments
In which to smile in many ways.

An adorable baby when we're shopping
A puppy on a morning walk
Little kids in our midst
So cute they are when they talk.

A loving couple holding hands
It doesn't matter the age
For love in our midst is important
No matter what the stage.

Music that makes you tap your foot
It may truly make you smile
It washes away some sadness
Brushes it away for just a while.

So, my friend, let us begin
Let's put this on a trial
See if our day is a bit easier when
We look for whatever makes us smile!
