When Poem by Danusha Marie

When

When the moonlight glistens
In his eyes
Flickers of starlight
Beam from his soul
And my heart listens

When his lips move to speak
Words so kind
Melodies from his heart
Spill into the air
Give comfort I seek

When he moves to touch me
With hands so strong
Yet humbly tender
Brush across my skin
Surging chills of youthful glee

When he lays upon a tender kiss
So raw and vulnerable
Melting away my fears
Giving rise to passion
A swell of genuine bliss

When I first met this man
The Universe smiled
Proud that fate won
For love I couldn’t imagine
Is one I now can
