When Am No More Poem by Marbet Daniel

When Am No More

When am no more,
Morn my departure,
But just for a little while.
For ultimately, ye all will follow.
Though be it early and unprecedented,
Only the omnipotent and the omnipresent
He who knoweth the future,
Can affirm the time.
Crude as the means may have been,
Finally, its all done.
And all the burdens I rest.
For there ain't no more food nor fee to find,
No long and lonely nights
No more quarrels with men
All is still and peaceful.
Yes morn,
But just for a littllittle while,
Let's you be blinded by sorrow,
And miss opportunities,
Open doors and renewed strength,
That with my departure comes forth.

And for ye all,
With whom blood we shared,
Blame ye not yourselves,
For all was and is upon me,
And that ye in latter times,
Might see brighter days.
Blame ye not, therefore yourselves.
May the good Lord of nature,
He who holds the universe in place,
Watch over you,
Now and for the rest of you time.
Strive to be happy.
