When Daddy Comes Home Poem by Zoe Abel

When Daddy Comes Home

Rating: 5.0

When Daddy comes home
I run and scream
To hop on your back
Possesed with gleam

When Daddy comes home
My voice travels around
Carrying my happiness of when
you came about.

When Daddy comes home
I await for the sound of the key in the lock
Holding my father's arrival
When he comes back

When Daddy comes home
I hide under cover
Our secret little game
In which I await to hover

Those days passed
With it I matured
But to this day I will remain
A daddy' little girl who cared

Whenever you feel that
Our little bond is lost
Come and we'll recollect
Of our days worth more than any cost

Until the end of my days and more
My ears stay perked and on watch
Waiting for the sweet sound I long to here
Waiting for Daddy to come home.
