Walking down the streets
As dawn breaks
The city a deserted town
Heaves a sigh of silence
When dreams are asleep
And men and women
Tangled up in a death like
Embrace
I walk
Alone and down the streets
As darkness slowly lifts
I walk
In slow strides
Remembering the madness
That will unfold
Right here
Within an hour or two
And wonder
What a peaceful world
It truly is
