When God Called You Home Poem by Brenda Martin

When God Called You Home

When God called you home he left an ache in our hearts
The tears now start
Another soul gone to the heavens above
Filled with God’s forever love

From the twinkle in your eyes to your loving smile
We know all the while
You’re in heaven above
Showering down on us your love.

Now you have angel wings and watch from above
We will remember fondly that smile that we love
The hugs that you shared
There is nothing to compare

When God called you home he left this ache in our hearts its true
I know all of us will be missing you too
But you left us with love and wonderful memories to help us through
Because that is what you always do

You will be forever in our hearts and in our thoughts too
When God called you home he left an ache in our hearts its true
I wish I could have just one more hug or two
I write this verse just for you!

We love you and miss you and know you’re in a better place, and when our time on earth is through we will walk in heaven above with you!
There is a terrible ache in my heart that you are not here
I feel like I can feel you ever near
This verse is written with much love
Now that you’re an angel in Heaven above.
