-when I Close My Eyes Poem by Debora Short

-when I Close My Eyes

Rating: 3.1

Allowing the tinkling
Romance to dance
Ethereally into eternity

His
Fingers floating,
Caressing spells
Across those ancient ivories
With the inspiration of Chopin

My mood no longer
Entrenched in worldly
Black
And white
Realities

Only
Gentleness
Tickling my soul
Royal peacock feathers
Flirting
And
Charming
In fullest delight

Sipping
Champagne’s
Sweetest bouquet
Inebriating
Lover’s paired - hearts

A shower
Of purest
White
Rose petal’d
Messages
Ensue
The dancer’s
Embrace
Chased
Into magically
Mystical
Ecstasy …
