When I Dropped You Home. Poem by Nikhil Kusnur

When I Dropped You Home.

The night when I dropped you home.
While the snow fell upon my hood.
As I drove through the empty streets
To the place where you had stood.

Ah! The snowfall upon that meadow
The trees that had respected thee.
Undaunted, you kissed my cheek,
But did you say goodbye to me?

'Undaunted, you kissed my cheek, But did you say goodbye to me? ' loved the question, which threads torn ripped and answer, shaping potential departure?
