When I Look At You, I Just Turn Away Poem by Max D. Hornbogen

When I look at you, I just turn away…can’t you see I don’t want this anymore
I can’t fight this feeling any longer, don’t you know this hurts me deep in my heart.

I can’t bear this pain any longer, when you look at me it only makes it worse.
So for now I will turn away and say my goodbyes…I just hope you will say yours too

Well I can’t turn back now, what was said can’t be undone.
All I wanted was for you to be happy; I guess I was not the one for you.
For a while, I thought we had something great going. But I guess it wasn’t meant to be.

Some loves are not meant to be, so I guess you will go your way & I will go mine.
I guess in life we had so many memories together, now I see they are fading away.
One day there will be a mist in the sky & we won’t remember even saying goodbye.
