When Nightfall Comes Poem by Jatie Apple

When Nightfall Comes

The sun is slowly sinking.
Down behind the hills,
Going, going, gone.
I put on my pajamas.
Comfortable and warm,
I get in my bed,
Pull the covers up over me,
Say my prayers,
And turn out the light.
I close my eyes and fall asleep,
At last.
