When She Speaks Poem by Jazlle D. H. **contentment is the key to happiness

When She Speaks

Rating: 4.9

Deceived by her blithe smile
Deeming that she was fine
Blinded by own happiness
Anguished by selfishness
Astounded when she reluctantly speaks...

Please hear my plea
I tried to be happy
but my heart wants to flee
so let me be free
Give me back my wings
to go beyond the sky

Taciturnly, I open the cage
Allowing her to reach the edge
Though my heart will not stop beating
I let her go freely
Leaving my love of her to bleed and weep!

This writing is somewhat vague, so I am not quite sure I understand its meaning. If I am wrong, then the worst thing that has happened is that I have given it a 9 instead of a 7. I can live with that a lot easier than the other way around. GW62

A wonderful poem. The woman in your poem was suffocated. He let her go eventhough it is so painful for him.
