When The Dissenters Unite Poem by Nangsan Swer

When The Dissenters Unite

When the dissenters unite
And the lashing of tongues begin,
A faith trembles
Divine bonds are broken
The intrusion of human ego
Engulfs the holy ground
Burning heavenly ordination

All are innocent
"The fault is their's, not our's"
Whitewashing blackness with sympathetic tales
The gullible well up
As the brainwashing of multitudes begin
Pillars are moved, cracks set in
Till the inevitable happens
The solemn parting of kinsmen
Agreeing to disagree

When the dissenters unite...
