When The Heart Breaks
Is this how it feels when the heart breaks?
Aching in your chest
Begging to fix all the mistakes
Time stands still
Confusion sets in
Praying they won’t give up
Because you know you never will
Each day becomes longer than the day before
The pain so raw
Day and night it’s knocking at your door
Taking each day at a time
Tomorrow doesn’t exist
And today is nothing more than an unwanted gift
