I was feeling dead
hopeless, but now im better
im starting to learn that you cannot take over me
im better
days are looking brighter, my eyes are drying up.
i still sometimes wish you had loved me but i shouldnt.
when you leave its the perfect ending to the bad day i was just begining
when i see you now i'll smile
i'll pretend like you never hurt me, no that you even know
i'll accept the fact that you are my friend, nothing more.
when the wind blows and the last leaf falls i'll think of you and how its the best thing to let you go.
It wont be long before i get away.
I'll finally leave my past behind and start my own life.
away from you and everyone else who never believed in me.
so when the last leaf falls i hope you think of me too
of what could have been, but you chose to ignore.
