When The Sun Goes Down Poem by Antonio Williams

When The Sun Goes Down

as the sun goes down,
i heard the crickets call,
one after another untiringly
bidding the day a goodbye
the stars twinkle their goodnight.
beckoning the day to pass along
the moon watches in dazzling awe,
beautifuly illuminating the sky
spinning as it follows slowly
as the galaxy is passing by
then i knew it was sleep time
when the sun goes down
