When Thirsty, Felt I, Water Is Life Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

When Thirsty, Felt I, Water Is Life

Water, water,
Water is life,
The dry and parching
Rent with the cry,
Rain, rain,
Hot and humid weather,
All looked up to restlessly
Rain, rain,
Raindrops patterning,
Lashing with fresh showers,
Cooling down,
Bringing temperature down,
Giving relief from heat wave.

O save me, save me from sizzling summer
And it's heat wave,
No respite from
Heat and humidity,
The rising temperatures,
Taking comfort away from
When the bare earth seems to be baking
In the scorching sun
So sizzling and painful,
Trees too have been cut down,
Where to sit for and take a rest
To pass it summer,
Indian summer?
