When You Feel Like Running Away Poem by Catherine Agunat

When You Feel Like Running Away

Slow down, take more time to pray
Let not anger nor disappointment throw you away
Ask Heavenly wisdom to be brave and bold
Believe, God is with you at your rugged road
When you feel like running away

Failure maybe struck you many times
Then songs of your life, not in tune, out of rhyme
But is quitting or giving up can set you free?
Brethren, think about the Divine mercy
When you feel like running away.

When you feel like running away,
Because moments of your days are often clumsy
Consider how Jesus redeemed you yesterday
Problems are not enough to be sapless and weary
And sickness was defeated, thousand years ago on a hill faraway.

Yes, this earthly life is so tricky
Opportunities aren't all that lucky
But, wait! these are meaningless
comparing with what awaits at the promised land
Be still, rely on God's mighty hand
When you feel like running away.
