When You Turned Away Poem by Les Derbyshire

When You Turned Away

Rating: 3.0

This man you see before you
Lives no more.
For all that lived within me
Withered when you turned away.
The road that once we walked
Now echoes only to my step.
The journey that we shared
Belongs to me alone.
The music of our lives
Became a single note
The day your voice fell silent,
Your laughter faded from my world.
