Where am I heading today?

1. Eyes glued to a text message from
those far away chatting though
my best friend is by my side whom
I don't seem to be caring.

2. reading silly jokes on whatsapp
crazy I am smiling while
my best friend is in the kitchen
cooking the food to my liking

3. channel surfing on television and
watching videos online while
my best friend is struggling alone to
clean the dirty linen

4. posting selfies all o'r which
nobody will care ever though
my best friend is waiting to
watch a movie together

5. talking on the phone when driving
with those nowhere in sight while
my best friend is waiting for a
turn to share excitement

6. having fun at a bar friends with
who I used to roam while
my best friend had a splitting headache
struggling alone at home

7. smiling at even strangers
goodwill I am building outside while
my best friend is wondering why
I am always frowning

8. making friends on facebook new with
those who I never knew but
my best friend is still valuing
the bond no need to renew

9. trying to talk to the aliens not
knowing if they exist but
never will I peep within and
know what for do I exist
