Where Are You Going? Poem by Ray Hansell

Where Are You Going?

Do we have a destination?
As we travel through time
Are the days we're living
Really yours and mine?

Do you know where you're going
Do you know what you're headed for
Or when it appears
Do you just open the next door?

Going forward blindly
Sometimes without thought
Not really sure where you're going
Just knowing, another lesson has been taught

Will we learn from our mistakes?
Or will we make them again?
Only time will tell
If we do repeat them

Life's roads can be long
As we forge ahead
Doing all the things we can
Before we are dead

We're given no promises
As we live from day to day
The best one can hope for
Is that we don't lose our way
