Where I Found My Strength Poem by Delores W. Clark

Where I Found My Strength

My heart needed nurturing from so deep within,
it was so scary to me it was almost a sin.

The pain and the fear that lived within me
was all so unbearable I was blinded and couldn't see.

A moment of truth came over me, I began a new life,
I knew then acceptance was the key.

From that day forward, no turning back,
I knew what I had to do, strength was what I lacked.

I turned to the only one that could give it to me,
for it was God who put it their for me to see.

I grabbed on to it and would not let it go,
today nothing can take that away from me and thats no joke.

For all the trials and tribulations I've been thru,
he's always been there for me, from doing his will I grew.

Today I have peace in my heart, tranquility in my soul,
I give him all the praise and the glory and that'll never grow ole.
