Where I Have Been Poem by Bobbie Jean Wright

Where I Have Been

I do still find you...
in stillness,
and
deep within...
my shuddering heart
there are filed away
sweet forbidden fruits
of the softest kind.

From time to time
I do fondle
the idea that you...
maybe...
still find me
sweet and full
of the juiciest youth
in the area 51
of your mind.

Well, the past
is the past
and today
is a new Autumn
but...
I guess it's ok
to store a little
of yesterday
into my pouch
for tomorrow.

Afterall,
where I have been
does play a part
in where I'm headed to.
