You'Ve Made It Through The Rain (01-15-10) Poem by Bobbie Jean Wright

You'Ve Made It Through The Rain (01-15-10)

Daddy, as we say goodbye,
don't forget to look back at me.
I'm gazing at you from this side
of the great celestial sea.

I can't come over there right now
my work is not yet done
and I'd never wish you back
to a life that is void of sun.

I miss you so much daddy.
Life will never be the same
but it helps my heart to know
that you're no longer in pain

Hold tightly to Jesus' hand daddy
I'll be holding the other side.
Then, I won't have to look for you
when I cross the great divide.

I know it was easy for you
holding on to granny's hand.
How much joy it must have
brought to enter canaan land.

With papa there as your guide
you must have ran the streets
in that new body God promised
you and no cracks upon your feet.

I miss you so much Daddy but
I know your suffering is through.
It's just been so hard for me
to live this month without you.

I never imagined life with you gone
but I know in spirit you remain.
I'm so glad your long road's hoed
and you've made it through the rain.
