Where Is God? Poem by Caitlin Moreby

Where Is God?

Rating: 5.0

My words on the page, do you see them up there?
'Up there' is it a place, and if so then where?
I'd like to find you and thank you for your work through the ages
But i doubt that your name and number are in the yellow pages.
I can't call up information and ask for God,
The operator may think that I'm a bit odd.
I know that you're everywhere but that's not one place,
And of your presence there's not one trace.
I can't send you a letter for you have no address,
Is finding where you reside some kind of christian test?
Like if I medititate and walk the world round,
Where I end up is where you'll be found?
Where is God? I often ask to myself,
Is there anyone I can go to and ask for help?
Is God in the stars, the part that makes them spark?
Or is he in a special place locked up in my heart?
