my heart rests in the arms of angels
i can't set it free because it's tangled
i've searched through heaven and hell
to find you but you're no where these halos fell
to love, to fall to hate
is this my destiny or is this your fate
singing from the voices of a million souls
my heart has lost its control
with death in my eyes
i fight my last war before i die
as agony cries its tears
i have no one and nothing to fear
a deep thought
comes to mind as i smell my own soul rot
have i lost you for eternity
or are those the tricks of immortality
i will fight
and will not give up tonight
may he that takes my life
suffer in a world of anguish and strife
even so, i will see you once again
i promise this as true, my friend
you're in my heart but you have my soul
reason for lack of control
walk with me for tonight i give my life for you
my heart rests there too.
