Where My Strength Lies Poem by jhonny jean

Where My Strength Lies

Is it in the size of my arms?
Or the pain I can endure?
No, it’s the way I remain calm
And the inner peace I insure.

Is it in the power of my fist?
Or the great fear I can instill?
No, it’s the charisma of my wits
That can hypnotize you at will.

Is it the fierce look on my face?
Or my rashly way of speaking?
No, it’s in my voice’s gentle grace
That can seduce your inner being.

Is it my apparent super ego?
Or in my pompous attitude?
No, it is my sweet mellow
Way that makes me subdued.

Is it in lewd temperament?
Or my unbearable presence?
No, it is in the content
Of my words of conscience.

It is not in my choice of solitude
Nor in placing myself first,
But in my tolerance of people
And from my love at its best.
