Whisky And Bo
The Irish and Gaelic for 'whisky'
are usquebaugh and uisgebeatha.
The first is said us-kwi-bo.
The second begins said 'whiska',
meaning 'water'.
Both baugh and beatha mean 'life'.
I can't say that I know,
but conject (con - together; jacere - to throw)
that on the set of The Golden Girls
they called Bea Arthur 'Vita', meaning 'life',
and 'Whis', 'Whiskers! ', 'Whiska' and 'Bo'.
