Whisper To God

I whisper good night to my loved ones nearby
I whisper good night to my Lord up on high
I whisper my thanks for this day that passed by
And I humbly pray for another.
I whisper goodnight to the Sun in the sky:
You bade good morn as you gleamed in my eye
You lit up my path and my tears did you dry
Like you there is truly no other.
