Whispers Poem by Bharat Trivedi

Whispers

Rating: 5.0

Strolling in my garden of memories
whispers of my past
envelope me in a warm embrace
conjuring up vivacious images of
that night of ardour
when sun had drowned in the ultramarine sea
and adherent moon burnt so brightly!

Whispers
like melancholy melody of love
float from a far away flute.
To its enchanting tune,
my mind dances -
ferrying me to flight of fancy,
and I stray in the amorous past

Whispers
like our sweet stolen kisses,
under the moon-lit parasol.
On that night, several stars blushed in the sky
in the backdropp of semi-dark silhouette,
as my eager tongue searched yours,
gently parting your sensuous lips,
that fluttered like moist rose petals
in the amorous zephyr.
The sweet taste of your intoxicating wine,
washed by hot breaths,
still linger in my mouth…

The raft of my heart
sails on the sea of time
and ripples of past reflections
shimmer in the mirrored surface of memories.
Sorrow and pain were
the songs of our separation,
I lament while my tears whisper
a parting poem of love…
