Whispers Of Pain Poem by Billy Thompson

Whispers Of Pain

Rating: 5.0

Profoundly I attempt to scribe
Wondering what revelation awaits
Daring to unclothe what I hide
Moments pass as time takes

Passion brims and engulfs me
Keeping the quest within reach
Thoughts formulate and flee
The essence of my delving keep

Redundant respite seems compulsory
Staying resolute is principal
I grasp at awe-inspiring antiquity
While the production continues null

Something is askew and powerfully so
Hindrances to my source of pain
Wanting to be far from status quo
Being consumed I remain

Beautiful brevity is paramount
Coerced by indications of malaise
Shall I continue or dismount
The difficulty enhances the haze

Resolve to refrain subjugate
Reflection besets my demeanor
I look upon this scribe and relate
Accomplishment of my task now keener
